Who we are
After over a decade of taking our own vacations to Sanibel Island, as both a couple and as a family, we decided the island is where we wish to one day retire. The small, quiet, peaceful community surrounded by beautiful blue water and white sand beaches simply stole our hearts.
While we have several years before retirement is upon us, we began thinking about the possibility of investing early in our forever home. We began looking online, just out of curiosity, and unexpectedly stumbled upon what would become our future home.
It was in need of love, attention, and some major repairs following significant damage it sustained during Hurricane Ian in September 2022. Originally constructed in 1959, the home had been a part of the Sanibel community for decades and was strong enough to withstand the Category 5 hurricane, although much of the first floor had been flooded and was in need of restoration. After over a year of work, both by contractors and countless hours of work ourselves, the home was finally restored and ready to welcome families who wish to experience the magic that is Sanibel Island.
We would like to welcome you to share our home and our little tropical paradise that is now our Sanctuary.

Our spacious island retreat is designed for effortless coastal living, complete with a private heated pool, sun-soaked outdoor spaces, and unbeatable proximity to everything that makes Sanibel magical — pristine beaches, scenic bike paths, local eateries, and charming shops.
Inside, the bright and breezy open-concept layout welcomes you with serene living areas and a fully equipped kitchen featuring high-end GE Cafe appliances and all the modern conveniences you need. Relax in the airy living area surrounded by natural light pouring in from every direction. Each bedroom is thoughtfully appointed to ensure restful nights after days spent beachcombing or exploring Sanibel’s world-famous wildlife preserves.
Step outside to your own tropical oasis, where a sparkling heated pool, comfortable seating areas, and swaying palms set the tone for pure relaxation. Sip your morning coffee by the water, fire up the gas grill for a fresh-catch dinner, or toast to a perfect sunset with evening cocktails. Nestled on a direct-access canal offering easy access to the Gulf, our home features a private fishing dock that accommodates boats up to 25 feet. With only one bridge to pass under — boasting an 8-foot clearance — you can set out on the water with ease and return to peaceful canal views.
Your stay includes everything you need for a carefree vacation—washer and dryer, beach gear, and an unbeatable location just a short walk or bike ride from Sanibel’s iconic shelling beaches.
